Jennifer Fioretti
Assistant County Manager for Climate Policy
Jennifer Fioretti is Arlington County’s Assistant County Manager for Climate Policy in the County Manager’s Office. In this role, she will provide vision and leadership in developing policy across County government and the broader community to address the County’s climate goals.
Prior to this appointment, Fioretti served as the Deputy Director of the Department of Parks and Recreation, where she led the update to the Forestry and Natural Resources Master Plan and the adoption of the Biophilic Cities Resolution.
Fioretti has been with Arlington County since 2003, working in a variety of policy and operational roles across several departments. She also worked in the Department of Environmental Services where she coordinated regional transportation initiatives and investments, which included bringing BikeShare to Arlington. Fioretti has also led and served on cross-organizational initiatives including standing up the Joint Facilities Advisory Commission and the recent update to Arlington Public Schools’ Strategic Plan.
Fioretti earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Development from Clark University. She also holds a Master of Public Administration degree with a focus on State and Local Government from George Mason University.

The Climate Policy Office will lead the community and cross-departmental effort for the next update to the Community Energy Plan (CEP) and the transition to climate action.
