REPORTS
ASSAULT ON POLICE, 2026-10030096, 800 block of Army Navy Drive. At approximately 12:17 p.m. on October 3, an officer was conducting extra checks in the area when they were dispatched to the report of a larceny. Upon arrival, it was determined the female suspect entered the business, collected merchandise and allegedly exited the store without payment. An employee confronted the suspect outside the business and contacted police. Police arrived and detained the suspect. During the course of the investigation, the suspect provided false identifying information to officers and during a search incident to arrest, burglarious tools were recovered. In booking, the suspect kicked an officer. Margaret Foshee, 66, of Arlington, Va., was arrested, and charged with Assault on Police, Shoplifting, Possession of Burglarious Tools and Giving False Identity to a Law Enforcement Officer.
ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 2026-10030174, 5500 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 6:13 p.m. on October 3, police were dispatched to the report of an assault. Upon arrival, it was determined the juvenile male was walking in the area when he was approached by a group of approximately 10-15 juvenile suspects and one adult male suspect who assaulted him and attempted to steal his clothing items. The victim ran away from the area to safety, sustained minor injuries and did not require medical attention. Responding officers conducted a canvass of the area for the suspects yielding negative results. One juvenile suspect is described as an Asian male, approximately 13-16 years old, wearing black pants. The other juvenile suspects are described as approximately 10-16 years old, wearing all dark clothing. The adult male suspect is described as a thin-build, Black male, approximately 25-30 years old, wearing dark clothing. The investigation is ongoing.
ASSAULT BY MOB, 2026-10030266, 2000 block of S. Eads Street. At approximately 10:15 p.m. on October 3, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined Victim One, a juvenile in his late teens, drove up to a residential building to drop off Victim Two when the six juveniles male suspects in their teens wearing ski masks, who are known to the victims, exited a nearby vehicle and approached. The suspects began assaulting Victim Two during which Victim One exited his vehicle. The suspects then assaulted Victim One, implied a firearm and stole his clothing item before fleeing the scene in a vehicle. The victims sustained minor injuries and did not require medical attention. The investigation into the circumstances of the incident is ongoing.
SHOTS FIRED (Late), 2026-10040084, 300 block of S. Harrison Street. At approximately 12:25 p.m. on October 4, police were dispatched to the report of found property. Upon arrival, it was determined the witnesses heard loud noises overnight and at approximately 12:00 p.m., they located evidence of shots fired in the area. Responding officers located evidence of shots fired on scene and canvassed the area for injuries or property damage yielding negative results. There is no suspect description(s). The investigation is ongoing.
