REPORTS

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 2026-10150128, 3800 block of Cathedral Lane. At approximately 2:32 pm. on October 15, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined the female victim was inside a business when the male suspect began making threatening statements towards her. The suspect then attempted to take the victim’s cellphone but was unsuccessful before he struck her and fled the business on foot. The suspect sustained minor injuries and did not require medical attention. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 30-35 years old, 5’8”, 190 pounds wearing a beige sweater. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY/GRAND LARCENY AUTO (Late), 2026-10150200, 6700 block of Washington Boulevard. At approximately 10:11 p.m. on October 15, police were dispatched to the late report on burglary. It was determined between 12:30 p.m. and 9:20 p.m., the suspect(s) forced entry into the male victim’s unoccupied residence by shattering a glass door, rummaged through the interior, stole the victim’s car keys and fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle. There is no suspect description(s). The stolen vehicle is described as a red 2018 Subaru Crosstrek with Virginia license plate 4541BI. The investigation is ongoing.
