REPORTS
ROBBERY, 2026-05060014, 12th Street S. at S. Courthouse Road. At approximately 12:59 a.m. on May 6, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim, who was operating as a tow truck driver at the time of the incident, and the juvenile male suspect in his late teens became involved in a verbal dispute. The dispute then escalated to a physical altercation during which the suspect allegedly stole the victim’s cellphone and fled the scene on foot. The victim and suspect sustained minor injuries. Responding officers canvassed the area and located an individual matching the description of the suspect in the 1200 block of S. Courthouse Road and took him into custody. The victim’s cellphone was recovered and petitions for the suspect were sought for Robbery.
ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 2026-05060235, 3500 block of 11th Street S. At approximately 9:24 p.m. on May 6, police were dispatched to the report of an assault. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim exited his residence and observed his motorcycle was stolen. A witness directed the victim towards the male suspect and the victim observed him with the motorcycle in the area of the 1100 block of S. Lincoln Street. The victim confronted the suspect, who made threatening statements and dropped the motorcycle before fleeing the scene on foot. Responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 30 years old, 6’0”, wearing a gray hoodie and blue jeans. The investigation is ongoing.
