REPORTS
ROBBERY, 2026-05140239, 900 block of S. Buchanan Street. At approximately 9:52 p.m. on May 14, police were dispatched to the report of an assault. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was in the stairwell of a residential building when the two male suspects entered the building. One suspect approached and struck the victim with what appeared to be a firearm, causing him to fall to the ground. The suspects then assaulted the victim further, threatened him with the firearm and demanded his clothing and personal belongings before fleeing the scene with the items. The victim sustained minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital. Suspect One is described as a Black male wearing a light-colored shirt, black pants and a black face mask. Suspect Two is described as a Black male wearing a blue face mask. The investigation into the circumstances of the incident is ongoing.
ROBBERY (late), 2026-05140076, 900 block of S. Dinwiddie Street. On May 14, police received an online report for a late robbery. It was determined at approximately 3:50 p.m. on May 6, the juvenile male victim was outside in the 900 block of S. Dinwiddie Street when the three juvenile male suspects, who are known to him, approached. One suspect displayed what appeared to be a knife and the suspects stole the victim’s clothing items and assaulted him before fleeing the scene. The victim sustained minor injuries and did not require medical attention. The investigation into the circumstances of the incident is ongoing.
