REPORTS
AGGRAVATED MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2026-05080079, Shirlington Road at S. Arlington Mill Drive. At approximately 10:08 a.m. on May 8, police were dispatched to the report of an assault. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was walking in the crosswalk when he became involved in a verbal dispute with the male suspect who was driving in the area. The male suspect allegedly then exited his vehicle and struck the victim, causing him to fall to the ground. The suspect then re-entered his vehicle and fled the scene. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital. A lookout was broadcast for the suspect’s vehicle, and an officer on northbound I-395 observed the vehicle and conducted a vehicle stop in the area of Boundary Channel Drive during which the suspect was taken into custody. Raymond Crowe, 40, of Landover, MD was arrested and charged with Aggravated Malicious Wounding.
RECKLESS HANDLING OF A FIREARM, 2026-05100126, 200 block of 20th Street S. At approximately 3:08 p.m. on May 10, police were dispatched to the report of a shot fired. Upon arrival, it was determined the suspect was allegedly cleaning his firearm inside a residence when the weapon discharged, causing damage to the interior of the home. Responding officers located the suspect on scene. No injuries or other property damage were reported and a firearm was recovered. Andrew Wilson, 40, of Arlington, Va., was charged with Reckless Handling of a Firearm.
ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 2026-05100076, 1500 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 10:49 a.m. on May 5, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect entered the business, collected merchandise and allegedly attempted to exit the store without payment when he was confronted by an employee. The suspect grabbed the employee and a struggle over the merchandise ensued during which the merchandise fell to the floor. The suspect then fled the scene on foot. No injuries were reported. A lookout for the suspect was broadcast, and officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect subsequently self-reported to the police station where he was taken into custody. Nana Amoah, 36, of Arlington, Va. was arrested and charged with Attempted Robbery. He was held without bond.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2026-05090176, 300 block of S. Fillmore Street. At approximately 7:52 p.m. on May 9, an officer in the area observed an active fight at a residence between a group of known individuals. It was subsequently determined one male victim was stabbed during the altercation, resulting in lacerations. He was transported to an area hospital, initially with serious injuries, that then became non-life-threatening injuries. There is no suspect description. The investigation into the circumstances of the incident is ongoing.
BRANDISHING, 2026-05100016, 1800 block of N. Lynn Street. At approximately 1:54 a.m. on May 10, police were dispatched to the report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim and male suspect were outside a business when they became involved in a verbal dispute during which the male suspect brandished what appeared to be a firearm before fleeing the scene on foot. No injuries were reported. A lookout was broadcast, and responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a Black male wearing all black clothing. The investigation is ongoing.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING BY MOB (late), 2026-05090105, 2900 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 12:34 p.m. on May 9, police responded to the police station for the late report of an assault. It was determined at approximately 4:30 a.m., the male victim and the two male suspects were outside when they became involved in a verbal dispute during which the suspects assaulted the victim before fleeing the scene. The victim sustained minor injuries and self-reported to the hospital. Suspect One is described as a Black male wearing a baseball hat and a purple sweatshirt. Suspect Two is described as a Black male with facial hair wearing a red jacket and blue jeans. The investigation is ongoing.
