REPORTS
MALICIOUS WOUNDING BY MOB, 2026-03060004, 1100 block of Army Navy Drive. At approximately 12:46 a.m. on March 6, police were dispatched to the report of an assault. Upon arrival, it was determined female Suspect One was sitting in the driver seat of a vehicle and female Suspect Two was in the front passenger seat when they became involved in a verbal dispute with the female victim, who was an acquaintance and standing outside the vehicle. The suspects then exited the vehicle and allegedly assaulted the victim. The suspects stopped the attack when a witness exited the building to check on the victim. The victim sustained serious, non-life threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital. Responding officers made contact with the suspects on scene and took them into custody. Eryn Hughes, 24, of Washington, D.C. was arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding by Mob. During the course of the investigation, an open alcohol container was located on the driver’s side of the suspect vehicle. Damaiya James, 23, of Washington D.C. was arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding by Mob, Driving Under the Influence and Breath Test Refusal.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2026-03070147, 1000 block of N. Quincy Street. At approximately 4:53 p.m. on March 7, police were dispatched to the report of an assault. Upon arrival, it was determined the female victim and male suspect were outside when the victim engaged the suspect in conversation. The suspect then began yelling profanities and allegedly charged at the victim before striking her in the head. The male victim, a bystander who witnessed the assault, intervened during which the suspect struck him, causing him to fall to the ground. The suspect was then detained by two additional bystanders and was taken into custody by responding officers. The female victim and two bystanders were evaluated and released by medics on scene. The male victim sustained serious, non-life threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital. The suspect was also transported to an area hospital for further evaluation. Jonathan Rogers, 47, of Arlington, Va. was arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding and Assault and Battery.
ROBBERY, 2026-03060025, 3000 block of Washington Boulevard. At approximately 5:43 a.m. on March 6, police were dispatched to the report of a larceny. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect entered the business and went behind the counter when an employee confronted him. The suspect then made threatening statements towards the employee, stole cigarettes and fled the scene on foot. No injuries were reported. Responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a Black male wearing a black jacket, black hoodie, grey jeans and a black face covering. The investigation is ongoing.
SEXUAL BATTERY (late), 2026-03060129, 3400 block of Fairfax Drive. On March 6, police received an online report for a late sexual battery. It was determined at approximately 10:30 p.m. on February 13, the female victim was outside a residential building when the male suspect approached her from behind, touched her buttocks and subsequently fled the scene on foot. The suspect is described as an unknown race male wearing a white jacket and a red hat. The investigation is ongoing.
