REPORTS
ATTEMPT TO DISARM AN OFFICER, 2026-06290068,1800 block of N. Kent Street. At approximately 8:38 a.m. on June 29, police were dispatched to the report of trespassing. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect was allegedly in a parking garage he had previously been banned from. Responding officers located the suspect at the scene and while they tried to take him into custody, the suspect was combative and attempted to disarm an officer. The suspect was subsequently taken into custody with the assistance of additional responding officers and remained combative and noncompliant throughout the booking process. Anthony Johnson Jr., 27, of No Fixed Address was arrested and charged with Attempt to Disarm an Officer, Trespassing, Obstruction of Justice, Public Intoxication and Destruction of Property. He was held without bond.
INDECENT EXPOSURE, 2026-06290312, 1200 block of S. Joyce Street. At approximately 11:40 p.m. on June 29, police were dispatched to the report of disorderly conduct. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was sitting outside a business when the male suspect, who is known to the victim, approached him, engaged him in conversation and exposed himself. The suspect fled the scene on foot prior to police arrival. Throughout the course of the investigation, the suspect was identified. A lookout was broadcast, and responding officers conducted a canvass of the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The investigation is ongoing.
