REPORTS
ASSAULT ON POLICE, 2026-06120116, 3000 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 11:7 a.m. on June 12, police were dispatched to the report of a dispute. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the female suspect inside a business, who appeared to be intoxicated. While attempting to speak with the suspect she began to walk away and officers attempted to detain her during which she shoved an officer. She was subsequently taken into custody and spat on another officer. No injuries were reported. Elizabeth Benson, 43, of No Fixed Address was arrested and charged with Assault on Police (x2) and Public Intoxication.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2026-06130181, 1800 block of N. Scott Street. At approximately 5:57 p.m. on June 13, police were dispatched to the report of an assault. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect and female victim were outside when they became involved in a verbal dispute and the suspect allegedly struck the victim with a spatula, resulting in a laceration. The victim sustained minor injuries and was treated and released on scene by medics. The suspect briefly left the scene and subsequently returned and responding officers took him into custody. Joshua Moore, 27, of Arlington, Va. was arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding.
BRANDISHING, 2026-06130257, 4400 block of 31st Street S. At approximately 11:52 p.m. on June 13, police were dispatched to the report of a dispute. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim and male suspect, who are known to each other, were inside a residence when they became involved in a verbal dispute that escalated to a physical altercation during which the suspect brandished a firearm at the victim before fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported. During the course of the investigation, the suspect was identified and a warrant for Brandishing was obtained.
MISSILE INTO AN OCCUPIED VEHICLE, 2026-06120185, S. Walter Reed Drive at Columbia Pike. At approximately 4:59 p.m. on June 12, police were dispatched to the report of disorderly conduct. Upon arrival, it was determined the female victim was driving southbound on Walter Reed Drive when another vehicle pulled alongside her and one of two juvenile occupants of the vehicle threw an unknown object and struck her vehicle before fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported. Suspect One, who was the driver of the vehicle, is described as an unknown race male, approximately 15-19 years old with dark curly hair. Suspect Two is described as an unknown race male, approximately 15-19 years old with blonde hair. The investigation is ongoing.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2026-06120212, 3700 block of Kemper Road. At approximately 7:06 p.m. on June 12, an officer was flagged down for the report of suspicious circumstances. The victim reported he had just observed a juvenile female suspect exit his vacant residence before fleeing the scene on foot. The suspect is described as a thin-build Black female, approximately 16-18 years old, 5’5”-5’6” wearing a gray shirt and black pants. The investigation is ongoing.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY, 2026-06140166, 3100 block of N. Pollard Street. At approximately 7:55 p.m. on June 14, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect attempted to make entry into the victim’s unoccupied residence before fleeing the scene. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 35-45 years old, 5’6”-5’9”, wearing a blue shirt, light blue shorts, a red baseball cap and gray sneakers. The investigation is ongoing.
