REPORTS
CARJACKING, 2026-07140097, 4100 block of 18th Street N. At approximately 12:59 p.m. on July 14, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined the female victim was inside her parked vehicle when the male suspect pulled up in a pickup truck, exited and approached the victim’s driver’s side window. The suspect brandished a firearm and demanded the victim’s vehicle. The victim exited and the suspect stole her vehicle and fled the scene. No injuries were reported. A lookout was broadcast and responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. Later that day, the stolen vehicle was observed traveling in Prince George’s County, MD and with the assistance of the United States Park Police, the stolen vehicle was recovered following a pursuit and subsequent vehicle crash in Washington D.C. The driver of the vehicle was taken into custody and the investigation is ongoing.
ROBBERY, 2026-07140102, 4100 block of S. Four Mile Run Drive. At approximately 1:35 p.m. on July 14, police were dispatched to the report of a larceny. Upon arrival, it was determined approximately 20 minutes prior, the female suspect entered the business, became irate and attempted to strike an employee before going behind the counter to steal merchandise and fled the scene. No injuries were reported. The suspect is described as a heavyset Black female, approximately 5’8”-5’9” wearing a white top and black pants. The investigation is ongoing.
PEEPING, 2026-07140234, 1900 block of Key Boulevard. At approximately 11:20 p.m. on July 14, police were dispatched to the report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, it as determined a witness observed the male suspect peering into residences in the area and confronted him. The suspect then fled the scene. Responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5’10”, wearing all gray clothing. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY (late), 2026-07140073, 4500 block of 31st Street S. At approximately 11:18 a.m. on July 14, police were dispatched to the report of trespassing. It was determined between 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., the female suspect forced entry into the victim’s unoccupied residence and subsequently fled the scene in her vehicle. No items were reported stolen. The suspect is described as a white female, approximately 5’3”-5’8” driving a white sedan. The investigation is ongoing.
