REPORTS

ROBBERY, 2026-01280059, 1100 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 10:37 a.m. on January 28, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect entered the business, collected merchandise and allegedly began to exit the store without payment. When confronted by an employee, the suspect made threatening statements before fleeing the scene on foot. A lookout was broadcast, and responding officers located an individual matching the description of the suspect in the 1200 block of S. Fern Street and took him into custody. Francis Robinson, 60, of No Fixed Address, was arrested and charged with Robbery. He was held without bond.

ROBBERY, 2026-01280170, 800 block of S. Walter Reed Drive. At approximately 10:13 p.m. on January 28, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the female victim was in the area when the male suspect approached her from behind, implied a weapon, stole her bag and subsequently fled the scene. The victim suffered minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital for evaluation. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 6’2” tall, wearing blue pants, a blue jacket and a black face covering. The investigation is ongoing.
