REPORTS
BRANDISHING, 2026-01260058, 2200 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 11:37 a.m. on January 26, police were dispatched to the report of a suspicious person with a weapon. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim returned to a parking garage where he had parked his vehicle and determined it was missing. A short time later, the victim observed the vehicle being driven by the male suspect inside the parking garage and confronted him. The suspect then exited the vehicle, brandished what appeared to be a firearm and subsequently fled the scene on foot. No injuries were reported. Responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a thin-build black male, approximately 6’0” wearing a black hoodie, gray sweatpants and white shoes. The investigation is ongoing.
ROBBERY, 2026-01260115, 1200 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 8:02 p.m. on January 26, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect entered the business, concealed merchandise and attempted to exit without payment. An employee then confronted the suspect during which he pushed them and fled the scene on foot. No injuries were reported. The suspect is described as a tall Black male with glasses wearing a gray jacket, green hoodie, camouflage jeans, white and black shoes and a black backpack. The investigation is ongoing.
