REPORTS

DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY/BURGLARY (Series), 2026-01230018/2026-01230019, 5500 block of Columbia Pike/5000 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 3:29 a.m. on January 23, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary alarm. Upon arrival, it was determined the suspect broke a window of a closed business in the 5500 block of Columbia Pike before fleeing the scene. A short time later, police were dispatched to another closed business in the 5000 block of Columbia Pike for a burglary alarm. It was determined at approximately 3:32 a.m., the suspect forced entry into the business by shattering a window, rummaged through the interior, stole merchandise and fled the scene. The suspect is described as a Black male wearing a dark-colored hoodie and light-colored pants. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY (late), 2026-01230028/2026-01230029, 4800 block of Langston Boulevard/2200 block of N. Buchanan Street. At approximately 6:00 a.m. on January 23, police were dispatched to the report of a breaking and entering. It was determined at approximately 2:30 a.m., the suspect forced entry into a closed business in the 4800 block of Langston Boulevard, causing damage. No items were reported stolen. While on scene, officers determined the suspect forced entry into a second business in the 2200 block of N. Buchanan Street, causing damage. No items were reported stolen. The suspect is described as an unknown race male, wearing a black hat, black mask, gray shirt, black gloves and black pants. The investigation is ongoing.
