REPORTS

ROBBERY/ATTEMPTED ROBBERY (Series), 2026-02250260/2026-02250261, 4200 block of N. Pershing Drive/300 block of N. Glebe Road. At approximately 8:19 p.m. on February 25, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect entered a business in the 4200 block of N. Pershing Drive, approached an employee at the counter as well as another victim inside the business and brandished what appeared to be a firearm. The suspect demanded cash and subsequently fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect then entered another business in the 300 block of N. Glebe Road, approached employees, threatened them with a firearm and demanded cash. The employees ran from the scene and the suspect fled on foot. No injuries were reported from either incident. A lookout was broadcast and responding officers observed an individual matching the description of the suspect in the area of 4th Street N. and N. Thomas Street. The individual then ran from the area and officers were not able to locate him. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 20-30 years old, 5’6”-5’10”, wearing all black clothing and a face covering. The investigation is ongoing.

ASSAULT BY MOB, 2026-02250245, 1200 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 6:42 p.m. on February 25, police were dispatched to the report of an assault. Upon arrival, it was determined the female victim was outside when she observed a group of approximately 20 juveniles, some of whom were pouring a beverage on another juvenile and attempted to intervene during which the approximately five juvenile suspects became aggressive and assaulted the victim. The suspects then fled into the Pentagon City Metro Station. The victim sustained minor injuries and refused medical attention. The suspects are described as approximately 13–15-year-old Black males and females. The investigation is ongoing.
