REPORTS

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2026-02230198, Unit block of Glebe Road. At approximately 8:43 p.m. on February 23, police were dispatched to the report of an assault. Upon arrival, it was determined that the male victim and the male suspect, who are known to each other, were involved in a physical altercation outside of a business. During the altercation, the suspect struck the victim, causing him to fall to the ground. The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and refused medical attention at the scene. The investigation into the circumstances of this incident is ongoing.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY, 2026-02230229, 2100 block of Shirlington Road. At approximately 11:43 p.m. on February 23, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary. Upon arrival, it was determined the two victims, one male and one female, were inside their residence when the female heard a noise. Upon further investigation, she observed the suspect(s) attempt to force entry into the residence by turning the doorknob and pushing the door. When unsuccessful, the suspect(s) fled the scene. There is no suspect description(s). The investigation is ongoing.
