REPORTS
BRANDISHING, 2026-02020026, 2300 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 4:55 a.m. on February 2, police were dispatched to the report of a brandishing. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect was inside the business acting suspiciously when an employee confronted him and asked him to leave. The suspect then became irate and began acting disorderly. He then exited the business, began banging on doors and windows, made threatening statements and brandished what appeared to be a firearm before fleeing the scene in a vehicle. No injuries were reported. The suspect is described as a Black male with dreadlocks wearing a green hoodie and brown pants. The investigation is ongoing.
BRANDISHING, 2026-01300080, 3500 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 1:09 p.m. on January 30, police were dispatched to the report of a suspicious person with a weapon. Upon arrival, it was determined the victim and suspect became involved in a verbal dispute over parking, during which the suspect allegedly brandished a firearm before leaving the scene. The suspect is described as a white male, 5’7” – 5’11” tall and weighing between 180 – 200 lbs. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY (late), 2026-01300041, 3400 block of Potomac Avenue. At approximately 8:52 a.m. on January 30, police were dispatched to the late report of a breaking and entering. It was determined at approximately 2:20 a.m., the female victim was inside her residence when she heard a male voice inside her apartment. She called police and the suspect fled prior to police arrival. Later that morning, the victim reported an undisclosed amount of cash and clothing items were missing. There is no suspect description. The investigation is ongoing.
