REPORTS
POSSESSION OF A WEAPON ON SCHOOL PROPERTY, 2026-08140189, 3500 block of 2nd Street S. At approximately 6:22 p.m. on August 14, officers working at the Arlington County Fair were approached by the juvenile male suspect in his teens who briefly spoke to them before brandishing what appeared to be a firearm. Officers gave the suspect commands, took him into custody and secured the firearm, later determined to be a replica water gun. No injuries were reported. During the course of the investigation, a knife and alcohol were recovered from the suspect’s backpack. Petitions for the suspect were obtained for Possession of a Weapon on School Property, Brandishing on School Property, Possession of Alcohol Under 21 and Possession of Alcohol on School Property.
ASSAULT BY MOB, 2026-08150192, 3500 block of 2nd Street S. At approximately 10:03 p.m. on August 15, officers working at the Arlington County Fair observed a large group of juveniles gathered in an area and upon further investigation, determined an assault just occurred. It was determined Victim One and the two juvenile male subjects, who are known to each other, became involved in a verbal dispute during which the subjects allegedly assaulted him. Victim Two attempted to intervene in the struggle and was also assaulted. The victims sustained non-life threatening injuries and did not require medical attention on scene. The involved individuals were identified and the victims were provided information regarding obtaining warrants from the Office of the Magistrate. The investigation is ongoing.
ATTEMPTED DISARMING OF A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER, 2026-08150159, 2900 block of S. Glebe Road. At approximately 6:58 p.m. on August 15, police were dispatched to the report of a disorderly subject. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect allegedly entered the business and exposed himself. A responding officer detained him and escorted him out of the business. Officers then attempted to take the suspect into custody during which he became agitated, bit two officers and attempted to disarm an officer of their baton. An officer subsequently deployed their taser and the suspect was taken into custody. Medics responded and evaluated the suspect for injuries consistent with a taser deployment. Kenneth Gray, 41, of No Fixed Address was arrested and charged with Attempted Disarming of a Law Enforcement Officer, Assault on Police (x2), Indecent Exposure, Public Masturbation, Disorderly Conduct and Obstruction of Justice. He was held without bond.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING BY MOB, 2026-08160010, 1200 block of N. Rolfe Street. At approximately 1:18 a.m. on August 16, police were dispatched to the police station for the report of an assault just occurred. It was determined the female victim was outside in the 1200 block of N. Rhodes Street when she was approached by the three male suspects in their teens, who are all known to each other. Suspect One then allegedly brandished what appeared to be a firearm, demanded the victim’s cellphone, stole it and threw it on the ground. The suspects then assaulted the victim, stole her bag containing electronics and personal items and fled the scene on foot. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and immediately self-reported to the police station. A lookout was broadcast and responding officers located two individuals who matched the descriptions of Suspects Two and Three in the area of N. Rhodes Street and 14th Street N., issued commands and took them into custody. Suspect One was not located. Petitions for Suspect Two were obtained for Malicious Wounding by Mob, Robbery, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery and Destruction of Property. During the course of the investigation, it was determined Suspect Three wore a ski mask during the assault and petitions were obtained for Malicious Wounding by Mob, Robbery, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery and Wearing a Mask in a Public Place. The investigation is ongoing.
INDECENT EXPOSURE, 2026-08140104, 3100 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 12:36 p.m. on August 14, police were dispatched to the report of a disorderly subject. Upon arrival, responding officers observed the male suspect exposing himself. The officers confronted the suspect and took him into custody without incident. The suspect was transported to an area hospital for evaluation. Once cleared, Isiejah Allen, 38, of Hyattsville, Md., was arrested and charged with Indecent Exposure.
ROBBERY (late), 2026-08160168, 4900 block of 10th Street S. At approximately 9:13 p.m. on August 16, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery. It was determined approximately 30 minutes prior, the male victim was outside when the male suspect approached him, brandished what appeared to be a firearm and demanded cash. The suspect then stole an undisclosed amount of cash before entering a nearby black sedan and fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported. Responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a Black male wearing all black clothing. The investigation is ongoing.
ATTEMPTED INDECENT EXPOSURE (late), 2026-08140121, 1100 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 1:32 p.m. on August 14, police were dispatched to the late report of an indecent exposure. It was determined at approximately 6:45 a.m. on August 11, the female employee was in an employee-only area of the building when the male suspect approached her and began to unbutton his pants. The employee then left the area and the suspect fled the scene on foot. The suspect is described as a thin-build, bald Black male with facial hair, approximately 30-35 years old, 5’7”-5’9”, wearing all black clothing and a gray backpack. The investigation is ongoing.
