REPORTS
ROBBERY, 2026-04230013, 4900 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 2:23 a.m. on April 23, police were dispatched to the report of an assault. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was running in the area when he approached the four male suspects and engaged them in conversation. The suspects then became agitated and subsequently assaulted the victim, causing him to fall to the ground. The suspects then threatened him with knives and stole his cellphone and backpack before fleeing the scene. The victim sustained minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital. Suspect One is described as a thin-build Hispanic male with short black hair wearing all black clothing. Suspect Two is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5’7” with short black hair wearing a white, red and blue jacket. Suspect Three is described as a Hispanic male with short black hair wearing a black jacket and white pants. There is no description for Suspect Four. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY (late), 2026-04220206, 2100 block of Shirlington Road. At approximately 7:56 p.m. on April 22, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary. Upon arrival, it was determined between 7:15 p.m. and 7:55 p.m., the male suspect made entry into the victims’ unoccupied residence. Responding officer established a perimeter and searched the home for the suspect yielding negative results. No items were reported stolen. During the course of the investigation, a suspect was identified. The investigation into the circumstances of the incident is ongoing.
