REPORTS
ASSAULT ON POLICE, 2026-04010041/2026-04010115, 1800 block of N. Moore Street. At approximately 7:07 a.m. on April 1, police were dispatched to the report of trespassing. Upon arrival, it was determined the female suspect was outside when she allegedly began acting disorderly and assaulted two female victims and one male victim who were in the area. One victim’s glasses were broken, and she sustained minor injuries but did not require medical attention. Responding officers took the suspect into custody during which she continued to act disorderly and kicked two officers. The officers did not report any injuries. During the course of the investigation, suspected narcotics were recovered. Renee Washington, 43, of No Fixed Address was arrested and charged with Assault on Police (x2), Assault and Battery (x3), Possession of Schedule I/II Controlled Substance, Destruction of Property, Disorderly Conduct and Public Intoxication. She was held without bond.
ROBBERY, 2026-04010190, N. Quincy Street at Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 7:49 p.m. on April 1, police were dispatched to the report of a missing juvenile. It was determined the juvenile male victim was riding his scooter in the area when the juvenile male suspect approached him, shoved him off the scooter and stole the scooter. No injuries were reported. The victim chased after the suspect and the victim's family was unable to locate him, prompting them to report him missing. Responding officers canvassed the area and located the victim in the 1500 block of N. Stafford Street. Units checked the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 13-14 years old, 5’0”-5’2”, wearing all black clothing. The investigation is ongoing.
