REPORTS

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2026-04110225, 5000 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 8:53 p.m. on April 11, police were dispatched to the report of a fight. The preliminary investigation indicates the male victim and male suspect, who are known to each other, became engaged in a fight outside during which the suspect allegedly produced a knife and attempted to strike the victim. Upon police arrival, an officer observed the suspect and gave him commands to stop which he ignored and ran from the officer. The officer initiated a foot pursuit and with the assistance of an additional officer, located and detained the suspect in the area of Columbia Pike and S. Dinwiddie Street. While in custody, the suspect, a juvenile male in his teens, remained uncooperative and combative, assaulted an officer and threatened an officer. Petitions were obtained for the suspect for Attempted Malicious Wounding, Assault on Police, Obstruction of Justice (x2) and Tobacco Possession by Minor.

ROBBERY, 2026-04110262, 3700 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 11:54 p.m. on April 11, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery. It was determined between approximately 10:54 p.m. and 11:54 p.m., the male victim was outside when the group of approximately three to six male suspects approached and engaged him in conversation before assaulting him and stealing his cellphone and wallet. The suspects then fled the scene. The victim sustained minor injuries and refused medical attention. There are no suspect descriptions. The investigation is ongoing.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2026-04100208, 3400 block of 17th Street S. At approximately 7:45 p.m. on April 10, police were dispatched to the report of a check on the welfare. Upon arrival, it was determined the victims were inside their residence when the male suspect entered the home. The victims confronted the suspect who subsequently fled the scene. Responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a thin-build Hispanic male, approximately 18-23 years old, 5’6”-5’8”, 130-140 pounds wearing a gray tank top, blue jacket and tan pants. The investigation is ongoing.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 2026-04120122, 4500 block of Cherry Hill Road. At approximately 4:38 p.m. on April 12, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined approximately 15 minutes prior, the male suspect was inside the business when he engaged an employee in conversation. The suspect then became irate and went behind the counter, shoved the employee and attempted to steal food items. Another employee intervened and a struggle ensued during which the suspect struck the employee before exiting the business and fleeing the scene in a white SUV. No injuries were reported. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 26-27 years old, 5’10”-5’11”, 160-180 pounds wearing a multi-colored jacket. The investigation is ongoing.
