Arlington Measuring Community Satisfaction in County Services
Published on February 17, 2026
Arlington County is conducting its seventh Countywide, statistically valid community survey to understand the community’s satisfaction with County services and programs, as well as overall perceptions of the local government.
The results help County officials to evaluate performance across many County departments. They will be used to inform decisions on operations, program delivery, and County initiatives; identify areas for improvement; and ensure the County is offering the best possible customer service.
The County last conducted a satisfaction survey in 2022.
"Participation in this survey is very important, and each response we receive matters," said County Manager Mark Schwartz. "Each answer will give us feedback about a different part of Arlington County Government so that we can continue to work better for everyone."
This year’s survey is being conducted by the Zilo International Group, which will be reaching out to Arlington residents and community organizations on the County’s behalf. The survey will be available both online and on paper, and Zilo will be reaching out via direct mail, email, and social media.
The survey is designed for all County residents, with outreach prioritizing broad and diverse participation, to ensure the County hears from a representative sample of the community. It is available in both English and Spanish. Participation is voluntary and confidential.
The survey will be conducted Feb. 16 through March 31, 2026.
Results of the survey will be available on the County’s website later in 2026.
