REPORTS
ASSAULT ON POLICE, 2025-09270109, S. Glebe Road at Columbia Pike. At approximately 1:30 p.m. on September 27, police were dispatched to report of a robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined the female victim was walking in the area when the male suspect approached her and attempted to steal her purse and stole her wallet from inside. A struggle ensued, during which two witnesses intervened, and the suspect made threatening statements towards them. The witnesses held the suspect until officers arrived on scene. The suspect resisted arrest and kicked at officers until he was ultimately taken into custody with the assistance of additional responding officers. Once in custody, the suspect made threatening statements towards the officers. One witness sustained minor injuries. Ricko Ford, 32, of No Fixed Address, was arrested and charged with Assault on Police, Robbery, Assault and Battery and Obstruction of Justice (x3). He was held without bond.
DESTRUCTION OF PROPERTY (Significant), 2025-09280039, N. Garfield Street at Clarendon Boulevard. At approximately 4:37 a.m. on September 28, an officer patrolling the area observed debris in the roadway and initiated an investigation, during which they located witnesses who allegedly observed a male suspect damaging property in the area. Officers developed a suspect description, located him walking along Clarendon Boulevard and took him into custody. During a canvass of the area, officers located two businesses in the 2900 block of Clarendon Boulevard with broken windows as well as damage to planters and a trash can. Christian Amaya Ochoa, 21, of Arlington, VA was arrested and charged with felony Destruction of Property (x2), misdemeanor Destruction of Property (x2) and Public Intoxication. He was also determined to be wanted by the Arlington County Sheriff’s Office and served with the outstanding warrant.
ARMED ROBBERY, 2025-09280185, 1000 block of N. Glebe Road. At approximately 8:26 p.m. on September 28, police were dispatched to the report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was sitting outside when the male suspect grabbed him from behind, displayed a firearm and demanded the victim’s belongings. The suspect then stole electronics and a bag from the victim before fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported. Responding officers established a perimeter and conducted a canvass of the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a thin-build Black male, approximately 18-25 years old, 5’8”- 6’0”, wearing a black t-shirt, blue jeans and white shoes. The investigation is ongoing.
ROBBERY, 2025-09270129, 1400 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 3:16 p.m. on September 27, police were dispatched to the report of a larceny in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect entered the business, collected merchandise and exited the store without payment. When confronted by Loss Prevention Personnel, the suspect displayed what appeared to be a knife and fled the scene on foot. No injuries were reported. The suspect is described as a Black male with dreadlocks, approximately 21-26 years old, 6’ tall and 150-170 pounds, wearing a long-sleeve tan sweater and blue shorts. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY (Late), 2025-09280190, 2300 block of 11th Street N. At approximately 9:19 a.m. on September 28, police were dispatched to the late report of a breaking and entering. It was reported between June 1 and September 28 at approximately 8:16 p.m., the suspect(s) made entry into the victim’s residence, stole an undisclosed amount of cash and subsequently fled the scene. There is no suspect description(s). The investigation is ongoing.
ROBBERY (Late), 2025-09270134, 1500 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 3:39 p.m. on September 27, police were dispatched to the late report of a robbery by force. It was reported on September 26, at approximately 1:21 p.m. the male suspect entered the business, concealed merchandise in a backpack and attempted to leave the store without payment. When confronted by Loss Prevention Personnel, the suspect made threatening statements before fleeing the scene. The suspect is described as a medium-build Black male, approximately 6’ tall, wearing a black short-sleeve shirt, black jeans, a black baseball cap and a yellow backpack. The investigation is ongoing.
