REPORTS
ROBBERY, 2025-09010085, 1300 block of S. Joyce Street. At approximately 1:37 p.m. on September 1, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect entered the business, concealed merchandise in a bag and walked towards the exit of the store without payment. When confronted by Loss Prevention Personnel, the suspect shoved the employee and fled the scene on foot with the merchandise. A lookout was broadcast, and responding officers conducted a canvass of the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 5’9”, approximately 185 pounds, wearing a gray hoodie, black sweatpants and grey shoes. The investigation is ongoing.
ROBBERY, 2025-08290067, 1800 block of Fort Myer Drive. At Approximately 9:55 a.m. on August 29, police were dispatched to the report of a larceny in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined the suspect entered the business, shoved an employee and proceeded to conceal cigarettes in a box before fleeing the scene on foot with the merchandise. The victim sustained minor injuries and declined medical attention at the scene. A lookout was broadcast, and responding officers conducted a canvass of the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a thin-build Black male, approximately 25-30 years old, approximately 5’10”-6’1”, wearing a black hoodie, gray t-shirt, black leggings and light-colored tennis shoes. The investigation is ongoing.
ATTEMPTED MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2025-08310016, 5200 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 12:39 a.m. on August 31, police were dispatched to the report of a suspect with a weapon. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was outside of a business when the male suspect approached and engaged them in conversation. The victim then briefly walked away when the suspect produced a knife and began chasing the victim outside of the business while making threatening statements. An employee confronted the suspect before he fled the scene on foot. No injuries were reported. A lookout was broadcast, and responding officers conducted a canvass of the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 5’10”, approximately 160 pounds, wearing a black short-sleeved t-shirt and black pants. The investigation is ongoing.
INDECENT EXPOSURE (Late), 2025-08280106, 1000 block of N. Fillmore Street. On August 28, police received an online report for a late exposure. It was reported on August 25 at 7:56 p.m., the male victim was walking in the area when he observed the male suspect expose himself. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 6’1” tall, wearing gray sweatpants. The investigation is ongoing.
ROBBERY (Late), 2025-09020010, 4800 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 12:41 a.m. on September 2, police were dispatched to the late report of a robbery. It was reported at approximately 9:30 p.m. on September 1, the victim was walking in the area when he was approached by four male suspects who struck him, and stole his personal items, cash and phone before subsequently fleeing the scene. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The suspects are described as White males approximately 20-25 years of age, wearing white t-shirts and black pants. The investigation is ongoing.
ROBBERY (Late), 2025-09020008, 2000 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 12:49 a.m. on September 2, police were dispatched to the late report of a robbery. It was reported that earlier that morning, the male victim was standing next to his parked vehicle when he was approached by the male suspect who engaged him in conversation before stealing the victim’s personal belongings and fleeing the scene on foot following a brief struggle with the victim. The victim sustained minor injuries. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5’5”-5’6”, wearing a dark colored hoodie, black backpack and black sweatpants. The investigation is ongoing.
ROBBERY (Late), 2025-08310131, 4200 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 5:00 p.m. on August 31, police were dispatched to the late report of a robbery. It was reported at 11:25 a.m. the juvenile victim was outside of a business when he observed the male suspect walking away with his bike, helmet and bike lock. When confronted by the victim, the suspect made threatening statements before fleeing the scene with the victim’s helmet and bike lock; the bike was recovered. The suspect is described as a Black male with black hair and brown eyes. The investigation is ongoing.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY (Late), 2025-08310097, 2600 block of Shirlington Road. At approximately 12:25 p.m. on August 31, police were dispatched to the late report of a breaking and entering. It was reported between August 30 and August 31, the unknown suspect(s) made entry into the victim’s secured storage unit, stole personal items, rummaged through other items and subsequently fled the scene. There is no suspect description(s). The investigation is ongoing.
