REPORTS

NARCOTICS VIOLATION, 2025-09100219, 2900 block of S. Glebe Road. At approximately 8:42 p.m., officers observed a wanted suspect in the area. Upon seeing the officers, the suspect attempted to flee the scene in his vehicle and crashed into a fire hydrant. The suspect then exited the vehicle, ran from the scene, fell and sustained a minor injury from the fall. He was then taken into custody. During the course of the investigation, a firearm and suspected narcotics were recovered. Naim Arrak, 27, of Gainesville, VA was arrested and charged with Possession of Schedule I/II Controlled Substance, Possession of Firearm while in Possession of Drugs, Possession of Firearm by Foreign Alien, Reckless Handling of a Firearm, Obstruction of Justice, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Eluding, Driving While Suspended and Hit and Run: Property Damage. He was also served with the outstanding warrants and held without bond.

BURGLARY (late), 2025-09100122, 800 block of N. Kentucky Street. At approximately 1:55 p.m. on September 10, police were dispatched to the late report of a breaking and entering. It was determined between 9:00 a.m. on September 6 and 9:00 a.m. on September 7, the suspect(s) made entry into the victim’s unoccupied home, stole credit cards and an undisclosed amount of cash and subsequently fled the scene. There is no suspect description(s). The investigation is ongoing.
