REPORTS
NARCOTICS VIOLATION (Significant), 2025-10050037, 800 block of N. Randolph Street. At approximately 2:40 a.m. on October 5, police responded to the report of a single-vehicle crash. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the driver of the vehicle and following an investigation, he was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence. During an inventory search of the vehicle prior to towing, a distribution amount of marijuana was recovered. Sami Bukair, 40, of Springfield, VA was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence and Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana. He was held without bond.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2025-10070005, Unit block of S. Old Glebe Road. At approximately 12:18 a.m. on October 7, police were dispatched to the report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was sitting outside when the male suspect approached him and yelled at him before assaulting him with a sharp object, resulting in a laceration. The suspect subsequently entered a dark-colored sedan and fled the scene. Responding officers located the victim on scene suffering from a serious laceration and immediately rendered aid before medics transported him to an area hospital. The suspect is described as a bald white male, approximately 65-70 years old. The investigation is ongoing.
