REPORTS
ROBBERY, 2025-10300124, 2400 block of S. Lowell Street. At approximately 2:38 p.m. on October 30, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined the female victim was in her vehicle when the male suspect, who is known to her, opened her vehicle door, allegedly assaulted her and stole her phone before fleeing the scene on foot. Responding officers conducted a canvass of the area for the suspect yielding negative results. A lookout was broadcast, and at approximately 6:00 p.m., officers located an individual matching the description of the suspect in the 1000 block of S. Frederick Street and took him into custody without incident. Jamaree Dunbar, 21, of Arlington, Va., was arrested, and charged with Robbery and Wearing a Mask in Public.
ROBBERY, 2025-10300210, 5200 block of Yorktown Boulevard. At approximately 8:40 p.m. on October 30, police were dispatched to the report of a brandishing. Upon arrival, it was determined three juvenile male suspects approached two juvenile female victims, all in their teens, at Chestnut Hills Park and engaged them in conversation. Suspect One then stole cash from Victim One’s hand before all three suspects ran towards the parking lot. The victims ran after the suspects and confronted them, during which Suspect One and Suspect Two shoved the victims and Suspect Two subsequently displayed what appeared to be a pocketknife before all three suspects fled the scene on foot. No injuries were reported. Responding officers conducted a canvass of the area for the suspects yielding negative results. The investigation into the circumstances of this incident is ongoing.
