REPORTS
INDECENT EXPOSURE, 2025-10190088, 4200 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 10:44 a.m. on October 19, police were dispatched to the report of trespassing. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect allegedly entered the business and exposed himself before exiting and fleeing the scene on foot. A lookout was broadcast and responding officers located an individual matching the description of the suspect in the area of N. Glebe Road and N. Randolph Street and took him into custody. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the suspect was previously banned from the business. Kevin Banks, 46, of No Fixed Address was arrested and charged with Indecent Exposure, Trespassing and Public Intoxication. He was held without bond.
ATTEMPTED MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2025-10190094, 400 block of Long Bridge Drive. At approximately 11:13 a.m. on October 19, police were dispatched to the report of a vehicle crash. Upon arrival, it was determined that following a dispute, the male victim, who was on a bike, and the male suspect, who was driving in the area, pulled into a parking lot. The dispute continued during which the suspect allegedly accelerated his vehicle, striking the victim, causing him to fall to the ground and damaging the bicycle. The victim sustained minor injuries and did not require medical attention. The victim self-reported to the Office of the Magistrate and obtained warrants for the suspect, who was taken into custody on scene. Samuel Thernstrom, 58, of Arlington, Va. was arrested and charged with Attempted Malicious Wounding and Destruction of Property. He was held without bond.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2025-10180094, 300 block of N. Piedmont Street. At approximately 9:07 a.m. on October 18, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary just discovered. Upon arrival, it was determined the female victim briefly left her residence and upon returning observed several items out of place. No items were reported stolen. There is no suspect description(s). The investigation is ongoing.
ROBBERY (late), 2025-10190176, 1700 block of N. Troy Street. At approximately 8:03 p.m. on October 19, police were dispatched to the late report of a robbery. It was determined between approximately 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m., the juvenile male victim was outside when he was approached by three juvenile suspects. Two suspects threatened the victim with what appeared to be firearms and stole clothing items before fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported. Suspect One is described as a thin-build Black male, approximately 5’6”-5’7” wearing all black clothing and a ski mask. Suspect Two is described as a thin-build black male, approximately 6’0”, with short dreadlocks wearing a black hoodie, gray jeans and a black ski mask. Suspect Three is described as a Black male with dreadlocks wearing a black hoodie and gray ski mask. The investigation is ongoing.
ROBBERY (late), 2025-10170166, 4200 block of Fairfax Drive. On October 17, police received an online report for a late robbery. It was determined at approximately 6:30 a.m. on October 8, the male victim was walking in the area when the three suspects approached him and demanded his belongings. The suspects stole electronics and the victim’s wallet before fleeing the scene on foot. No injuries were reported. The suspects are described as Hispanic males. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY (late), 2025-10170164, 500 block of N. George Mason Drive. On October 17, police received an online report for a late burglary. It was determined at approximately 10:10 p.m. on October 3, the known male suspect entered the female victim’s occupied residence, stole her cellphone and subsequently fled the scene. The investigation into the circumstances of the incident is ongoing.
