REPORTS
BRANDISHING, 2025-11190127, Fairfax Drive at N. Pollard Street. At approximately 3:50 p.m. on November 19, police were dispatched to the report of a suspicious person with a weapon. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim and male suspect were inside their vehicles when they became involved in a parking dispute outside a business. The victim then drove away and a short time later when he was walking near the suspect’s vehicle, he observed the suspect allegedly brandish what appeared to be a firearm before fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported. A lookout was broadcast and responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. During the course of the investigation, officers identified the suspect and obtained warrants for him. During the early morning hours of November 20, officers from the Alexandria Police Department located the suspect in the area of S. Walker Street and Stevenson Avenue in the City of Alexandria and took him into custody. A BB gun was recovered and the suspect was subsequently transferred to the custody of Arlington County officers. Trent McCracken, 35, of Alexandria, Va. was arrested and charged with Brandishing. He was held without bond.
ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 2025-11190193, 2100 block of Washington Boulevard. At approximately 9:40 p.m. on November 19, police were dispatched to the report of a suspicious person with a weapon. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was approaching his parked vehicle when he observed the male suspect allegedly wearing a mask, rummaging through the interior of the vehicle. The victim confronted him and the suspect threatened him with a knife before fleeing into a nearby building. The victim briefly followed the suspect before calling police. Responding officers located the suspect in the building and attempted to take him into custody during which he was non-compliant. The suspect was subsequently taken into custody and it was determined items inside the vehicle were moved but no items were reported stolen. Samai Gayle, 25, of No Fixed Address was arrested and charged with Attempted Robbery, Wearing a Mask in a Public Place, Trespassing in a Vehicle and Obstruction of Justice. He was held without bond.
