REPORTS

BRANDISHING, 2025-05150140, 3400 block of Washington Boulevard. At approximately 3:13 p.m. on May 15, the male victim flagged down an Arlington County sheriff’s deputy to report a person with a gun. It was determined the male victim was inside his vehicle when he became involved in a verbal dispute with the male suspect in another vehicle. The suspect subsequently exited his vehicle and allegedly brandished a firearm before re-entering his vehicle. The sheriff’s deputy detained the suspect and arriving officers took him into custody. During the course of the investigation, a firearm was recovered. Oscar Bertotti, 34, of Alexandria, Va. was arrested and charged with Brandishing and Carrying a Concealed Weapon. He was held without bond.

ATTEMPTED ROBBERY/BURGLARY (series), 2025-05150082/2052-05150092, Unit block of S. Rotary Road/1100 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 10:40 a.m. on May 15, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the three juvenile male suspects were following the male victim inside the Pentagon City Metro station when the victim confronted them. The suspects then allegedly made threatening statements towards the victim, who then ran from the area and called police. No injuries were reported, and a lookout was broadcast for the suspects. At approximately 11:31 a.m., police were dispatched to the report of a larceny just occurred in the 1100 block of S. Hayes Street. Upon arrival, it was determined juvenile male suspects, who matched the description of the suspects from the attempted robbery, made entry into the closed business, collected merchandise and fled the scene on foot. An officer observed the suspects running in the area of the 1100 block of Army Navy Drive and initiated a foot pursuit during which two of the three suspects were detained. During the course of the investigation, Suspect One provided false personal identification information to an officer. Petitions were obtained for Suspect One for Robbery, Burglary, Shoplifting, and Giving False Identity to Law Enforcement. Petitions were obtained for Suspect Two for Robbery, Burglary and Shoplifting. Suspect Three was identified and petitions are pending.

BURGLARY (late), 2025-05150145, 800 block of S. Harrison Street. At approximately 3:13 p.m. on May 15, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary just discovered. It was determined at approximately 1:00 p.m., the male victim was inside his residence when the female suspect knocked on his door to inquire about the sale of a vehicle. While the suspect and victim were engaged in conversation outside the home, three additional female suspects made entry into the victim’s residence, rummaged through the interior and stole jewelry. The suspects then fled the scene. The victim subsequently determined items were stolen from the home and called police. The suspects are described as four white females, approximately 20-25 years old. The investigation is ongoing.

ATTEMPTED UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2025-05150116, 3400 block of 23rd Street S. At approximately 1:25 p.m. on May 15, police were dispatched to the report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, it was determined a witness observed the male suspect attempt to gain entry into a nearby residence. When confronted by the witness, the suspect ran, entered a red sedan and fled the scene. Responding officers conducted a canvass of the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 30-40 years old, 150-180 pounds, wearing a green jacket, pink button-down shirt, black winter hat, black ski mask and black gloves. The investigation is ongoing.
