REPORTS
BURGLARY, 2025-05100166, 2100 block of 18th Street N. At approximately 6:22 p.m. on May 10, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined no robbery had occurred and the female victim was inside her residence when the female suspect, who is known to the victim, allegedly forced entry into her home and they became involved in a verbal dispute that escalated into a physical altercation. The victim asked the suspect to leave, and the suspect refused. The victim subsequently struck the suspect with a knife, resulting in a laceration. Responding officers located the suspect on scene and took her into custody. The suspect sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital. During the course of the investigation, a knife was recovered. Senita Nash, 38, of Arlington, Va. was arrested and charged with Burglary and Assault and Battery.
ROBBERY, 2025-05110146 ,1100 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 6:45 p.m. on May 11, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined four juvenile female suspects entered the business, collected merchandise and exited the store without payment. When confronted by an employee, Suspect One made threatening statements towards the employee before all four suspects fled the scene. No injuries were reported. Suspect One is described as a juvenile Black female, approximately 15 years old, 5’2”, with long braids, wearing all black and a black face covering. Suspects Two, Three and Four are described as juvenile Black females, approximately 15 years old, wearing all black. The investigation is ongoing.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY, 2025-05110041, 2900 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 4:11 a.m. on May 11, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined the two male suspects forced entry into the exterior door of a closed business. The suspects then attempted to force entry into an interior door of the business but were unsuccessful and subsequently fled the scene on foot. Suspect One is described as an unknown race male, approximately 5’8”-5’10”, 180-200 pounds, wearing a black jacket, gray sweatpants, black sneakers and a white face covering. Suspect Two is described as an unknown race male, approximately 5’8”-5’10”, 160-180 pounds, wearing a black jacket, white shirt, black pants, black shoes and a black face covering. The investigation is ongoing.
