REPORTS
ASSAULT ON POLICE, 2025-06200184/2025-06200231, 2100 block of 15th Street N. At approximately 6:20 p.m. on June 20, an officer was inside a business when an employee reported a shoplifting just occurred. A lookout was broadcast and the officer located an individual matching the description of the suspect inside the Courthouse Metro Station. The officer attempted to detain the suspect during which he was non-compliant. With the assistance of additional responding officers, he was taken into custody. While in custody, the suspect grabbed two officers and he was subsequently banned from the business. Timothy Thomas, 35, of No Fixed Address was arrested and charged with Assault on Police (x2) and Public Intoxication. He was held without bond.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING BY MOB, 2025-06220027, N. Pershing Road at N. Glebe Road. At approximately 3:32 a.m. on June 22, police were dispatched to the report of an assault with a weapon. Upon arrival, it was determined the four male victims were outside when the three male suspects approached them and began assaulting them with sticks before fleeing the scene on foot. The victims sustained serious, non-life threatening injuries and were transported to an area hospital. Responding officers canvassed the area for the suspects with negative results. The suspects are described as Hispanic males wearing all black clothing. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY (late), 2025-06200087, 6000 block of Wilson Boulevard. On June 20, police received an online report for a late breaking and entering. It was determined at approximately 11:35 p.m. on June 9, the three male suspects made entry onto the closed property and forced entry into a building. The suspects stole electronics, tools and food items before fleeing the scene on foot. There are no suspect descriptions. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY (late), 2025-06200095, 2100 block of S. Kenmore Street. At approximately 11:21 a.m. on June 20, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary just discovered. It was determined between 5:00 p.m. on June 19 and 10:00 a.m. on June 20, the suspect(s) made entry into the under-construction home and stole tools before fleeing the scene. There is no suspect description(s). The investigation is ongoing.
INDECENT EXPOSURE (late), 2025-06200117, 700 block of N. Glebe Road. On June 20, police received an online report for a late exposure. It was determined at approximately 10:00 a.m. on June 14, the female victim was walking in the area when she became involved in a verbal altercation with the male suspect, who was driving a vehicle. The suspect subsequently exited his vehicle, exposed himself to the victim and fled the scene in his vehicle. There is no suspect description. The investigation is ongoing.
