REPORTS
BURGLARY, 2025-07150030, 3100 block of S. Glebe Road. At approximately 4:12 a.m. on July 15, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was in his residence when he allegedly observed the two male suspects inside his home. The victim confronted the suspects who subsequently exited the residence and fled the scene on foot. A lookout was broadcast and with the assistance of the Alexandria Police Department, responding officers located and detained the suspects in the 3900 block of Mount Vernon Avenue. During the course of the investigation, it was determined electronics, jewelry, clothing and alcohol were stolen from the victim’s residence. Bryan Portillo Ortiz, 24, of No Fixed Address was arrested and charged with Burglary and Larceny with Intent to Sell. Yonatan Bran Martinez, 19, of Alexandria, Va. was arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Goods. They were held without bond.
ROBBERY, 2025-07150027, 300 block of Army Navy Drive. At approximately 3:35 a.m. on July 15, police were dispatched to the late report of a larceny. Upon arrival, it was determined approximately 30 minutes prior, the male victim and three male suspects were inside a hotel room when they became involved in a verbal dispute. One suspect then shoved the victim and stole a firearm from his person before all three suspects exited the room and fled the scene. No injuries were reported. Suspect One is described as a Black male with shoulder-length dreadlocks wearing a white t-shirt, dark pants and a beanie. Suspect Two is described as a Black male with shoulder-length dreadlocks wearing a gray sweatsuit and white shoes. Suspect Three is described as a heavy-set Black male wearing a dark gray sweatsuit and a black backpack. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY (late), 2025-07140053, 1900 block of N. Moore Street. At approximately 7:28 a.m. on July 14, police were dispatched to the late report of a larceny. It was determined at approximately 8:07 a.m. on July 13, the two male suspects forced entry into a secured storage room in a parking garage and stole building materials before fleeing the scene. Suspect One is described as a thin-build unknown race male wearing a white hoodie, black pants and black shoes. Suspect Two is described as a thin-build unknown race male wearing a grey shirt, dark pants, dark shoes and a blue hat. The investigation is ongoing.
