REPORTS
ASSAULT ON POLICE, 2025-12120085, 3600 block of S. Glebe Road. At approximately 12:04 p.m. on December 12, police were dispatched to the report of trespassing. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect was allegedly acting disorderly inside the business and was asked to leave by employees. The suspect refused, continued to be disorderly and arriving officers took him into custody. While escorting the suspect outside the business, he was noncompliant and kicked an officer. The officer did not sustain any injuries, and the suspect sustained minor injuries and refused medical attention. Jewel Martinez Rosa, 27, of Brandon, Fl. was arrested and charged with Assault on Police, Trespassing, Disorderly Conduct and Obstruction of Justice.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2025-12120128, 12th Street S. at S. Monroe Street. At approximately 2:56 p.m. on December 12, police were dispatched to the report of an assault. Upon arrival, it was determined the two juvenile female victims were outside when the two known juvenile female suspects approached them. Suspect One yelled at Victim One before pulling her to the ground and assaulting her. Victim Two attempted to intervene in the altercation when Suspect Two pulled her to the ground and subsequently assaulted her. The suspects then fled the scene. The victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to an area hospital. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the victims and suspects were in an ongoing dispute and the suspects were identified and petitions were obtained.
ROBBERY, 2025-12130013, 1000 block of S. Frederick Street. At approximately 12:35 a.m. on December 13, police were dispatched to the report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was standing outside with his bicycle when the male suspect approached and demanded the bicycle. The victim reported that when he refused, the suspect struck him before fleeing the scene. The victim did not sustain any injuries. The suspect is described as a Black male with black hair, 26-27 years old, approximately 5’6”, wearing brown pants. The investigation into the circumstances of the incident is ongoing.
BURGLARY, 2025-12120209, 700 block of S. Ode Street. At approximately 6:53 p.m. on December 12, police were dispatched to the report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, it was determined at approximately 6:45 p.m., a witness observed Suspect One bang on the door of and force entry into the victim’s unoccupied nearby residence before fleeing the scene in a light-colored sedan with Suspect Two who was also observed to be banging on doors in the building. No items were reported stolen. Suspect One is described as a thin-build Black male in his 20’s or early 30’s wearing all black clothing and a red scarf. Suspect Two is described as a thin-build Black male. The investigation is ongoing.
ATTEMPTED ROBBERY (late), 2025-12140089, 1500 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 12:47 a.m. on December 14, police were dispatched to the late report of a robbery. It was determined at approximately 6:39 p.m. on December 11, the male suspect entered the business and inquired an employee about electronics for sale. When the employee retrieved the electronics, the suspect went behind the counter, pushed the employee and stole the merchandise before attempting to flee the store. Other employees recovered the merchandise before the suspect fled the scene on foot. No injuries were reported. The suspect is described as a thin-build Black male in his early 20’s, approximately 5’9”, wearing a black jacket, gray jeans and black sneakers. The investigation is ongoing.
