REPORTS
ATTEMPTED MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2024-11010048, 2100 block of 15th Street N. At approximately 5:09 a.m. on November 1, police were dispatched to the report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, it was determined the female victim was making a delivery inside a business when the male suspect allegedly approached her and threatened her with a sharp object. The suspect proceeded to follow the victim around the store before an employee verbally confronted the suspect and he exited the business. No injuries were reported. A lookout was broadcast and responding officers located an individual matching the description of the suspect at the Courthouse Metro and took him into custody. Willie Jackson Jr., 42, of No Fixed Address, was arrested and charged with Attempted Malicious Wounding.
ATTEMPTED ROBBERY, 2024-11030115, 1500 block of S. Fern Street. At approximately 3:41 p.m. on November 3, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined an employee exited the business when the male suspect allegedly approached and attempted to steal cash from him. The employee attempted to get away from the suspect who subsequently struck him, causing the employee to fall to the ground. The suspect then fled the scene on foot. Medics responded and treated the employee on scene for non-life threatening injuries. A lookout was broadcast and responding officers located an individual matching the description of the suspect in the area of Army Navy Drive and S. Hayes Street and took him into custody. James Stephens, 43, of Arlington, Va. was arrested and charged with Attempted Robbery. He was held without bond.
INDECENT EXPOSURE, 2024-11010019, 9th Street S. at S. Dinwiddie Street. At approximately 1:25 a.m. on November 1, an officer on scene of a separate call for service observed the male suspect standing at an intersection acting disorderly before exposing himself. Edenilson Majia Santos, 18, of Arlington, Va. was arrested for Indecent Exposure and Public Intoxication.
ROBBERY, 2024-11020194, 5100 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 9:56 p.m. on November 2, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the two male suspects entered the business and went behind the counter. Suspect One collected cigarettes while Suspect Two made threatening statements towards an employee and demanded they open the cash registers. The suspects subsequently exited the business with the cigarettes and an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene on foot. No injuries were reported. Responding officers canvassed the area for the suspects yielding negative results. Suspect One is described as a thin-build, dark-skinned Black male in his 20’s wearing a blue hoodie, blue jeans, brown shoes and a black face covering. Suspect Two is described as thin-build, light-skinned Black male wearing a black hoodie, black jeans and a black face covering. The investigation is ongoing.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING (late), 2024-11020035, 1200 block of N. Garfield Street. At approximately 4:08 a.m. on November 2, police were dispatched to Virginia Hospital Center for the late report of an assault. The preliminary investigation indicates at approximately 11:00 p.m. on November 1, the female victim and male suspect, who are known to each other, became involved in a verbal dispute outside a business during which the suspect struck the victim, causing her to fall to the ground. The suspect subsequently fled the scene. The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries and later self-reported to the hospital. The investigation into the circumstances of the incident is ongoing.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY (late), 2024-11020133, 1500 block of Key Boulevard. At approximately 3:52 p.m. on November 2, police were dispatched to the late report of an attempted breaking and entering. It was determined between approximately 12:00 p.m. and 12:30 p.m., the victims briefly left their residence and upon returning, observed signs of attempted forced entry into their home. No entry was made in the home and no items were reported stolen. There is no suspect description(s). The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY (Late)(Series), 2024-11010080/2024-11010087, 3200 block of 10th Street N./3200 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 8:48 a.m. on November 1, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary just discovered. It was determined during the overnight hours, the suspect(s) forced entry into a business in the 3200 block of 10th Street N., stole a set of car keys and the vehicle associated with the keys. The vehicle is described as a white 2007 Toyota Corolla with Virginia license plate 8466BBE. During the course of the investigation, it was determined during overnight hours suspect(s) also forced entry into offices in the 3200 block of Wilson Boulevard, rummaged through items and stole an undisclosed amount of cash, electronics and other items. There is no suspect description(s). The investigation is ongoing.
