REPORTS
MALICIOUS WOUNDING (late), 2024-03040180, 5200 block of Yorktown Boulevard. At approximately 4:16 p.m. on March 4, police were dispatched to the late report of an assault. The preliminary investigation indicates that between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. on February 28, the juvenile male suspect approached the juvenile male victim from behind, picked him up and hit his head against a bench. The victim sought medical treatment for injuries considered serious but non-life threatening. The investigation is ongoing.
ROBBERY, 2024-03040037, 4800 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 6:11 a.m. on March 4, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. The preliminary investigation indicates the male victim was outside when the suspect approached him from behind and asked for a cigarette. When the victim declined, the suspect assaulted him and stole his personal property including his cell phone before fleeing the scene on foot. Medics treated the victim on scene for injuries considered non-life threatening. The suspect is described as a Black male in his mid-20’s, 5’9” to 6’0” tall with facial hair on his chin, an average build and wearing all black clothing. The investigation is ongoing.
ROBBERY, 2024-03040099, 1500 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 11:24 a.m. on March 4, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. The preliminary investigation indicates the male suspect entered a business and concealed merchandise when he was verbally confronted by an employee. As the suspect when leaving the business, he assaulted the employee and made verbal threats before fleeing the scene on foot. The victim declined treatment by medics. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 50 years old with black hair and wearing a white short-sleeve shirt, black vest, blue jeans and sneakers. The investigation is ongoing.
ROBBERY, 2024-03040208, 2900 block of S. Glebe Road. At approximately 7:08 p.m. on March 4, police were dispatched to the report of a larceny just occurred. The preliminary investigation indicates the three male suspects entered a business, placed merchandise into carts and walked towards the exit without payment. An employee grabbed the cart during which one of the suspects pushed the employee. The suspects then fled the scene with the stolen merchandise. The employee declined treatment by medics. Suspect One is described as a Black male, approximately 5’10” tall with short black hair, glasses and wearing a black jacket and blue jeans. Suspect Two is described as a Black male, approximately 5’10” tall and wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans, and black shoes. Suspect Three is described as a Black male, approximately 5’11” tall and wearing a dark colored jacket with the hoodie over his head, ripped blue jeans, and black shoes. The investigation is ongoing.
