REPORTS
UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2024-07080095, 300 block of 10th Street S. At approximately 12:18 p.m. on July 8, police were dispatched to the report of trespassing. Upon arrival, it was determined the witness entered the vacant apartment and allegedly located the female suspect inside. The witness then exited and contacted police. Responding officers located the suspect on scene and detained her without incident. The investigation determined the suspect had been previously banned from the property. Maya Selmar-Turner, 28, of No Fixed Address was arrested and charged with Unlawful Entry and Trespassing.
ROBBERY, 2024-07080160, 1000 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 4:57 p.m. on July 8, police were dispatched to the report of an assault just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined that the male suspect entered the business, concealed merchandise in bags and exited without payment. The suspect was confronted by two loss prevention personnel who attempted to detain him, during which a struggle ensued, and the suspect shoved one of the loss prevention personnel. The suspect dropped the stolen merchandise and fled on foot towards the Pentagon City Metro. Responding officers conducted a canvass of the area, including the metro, yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a Black male with a white t-shirt and black shorts. The investigation is ongoing.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY (late), 2024-07080108, 4300 block of Langston Boulevard. At approximately 1:11 p.m. on July 8, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary just discovered. Upon arrival, it was determined that between approximately 5:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on July 8, an unknown suspect(s) forced entry into a secure residence and subsequently fled the scene. No items were reported stolen or damaged. There are no suspect(s) descriptions available at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
