REPORTS
PEEPING, 2024-10240257, 300 block of S. Glebe Road. At approximately 11:15 p.m. on October 24, police were dispatched to the report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, it was determined that the male victim was inside his residence when he observed the male suspect allegedly looking into the windows of homes while exposing himself. When responding officers arrived, they observed the suspect exposing himself near a playground. The suspect attempted to flee the scene on foot but was detained by officers following a brief foot pursuit. Alexi Rodriguez, 50, of Arlington, VA was arrested and charged with Peeping, Public Masturbation, Obstruction of Justice, and Sex Offender Loitering Near a Park. He was held without bond.
WEAPONS VIOLATION, 2024-10240236, S. Glebe Road at 24th Road S. At approximately 9:48 p.m. on October 24, an officer initiated a traffic stop for a vehicle displaying an improper registration. During the course of the investigation, it was determined that the driver had a suspended license. During an inventory search of the vehicle prior to towing, a firearm was recovered. During a search incident to arrest of the driver, suspected schedule I narcotics were located on his person. Michael Jefferies, 33, of Washington DC, was arrested and charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Possession of Firearms while in Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance, Possession of Schedule I Controlled Substance and Possession of Schedule IV-Controlled Substance.
ROBBERY, 2024-10240196, 1100 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 7:03 p.m. on October 24, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the two female victims were inside a business when they became involved in a verbal dispute with two female suspects. The suspects subsequently physically assaulted Victim One, pepper sprayed her and stole her phone before fleeing the scene on foot. Medics responded and transported Victim One to an area hospital for minor injuries. Responding officers conducted a canvass of the area for the suspects yielding negative results. During the course of the investigation, the victim’s phone was recovered. Suspect One is described as a Black female, approximately 18-21 years old, 5’6”, 140 pounds with a thin build, with long braids, wearing a light blue jacket with a white shirt underneath, pink leggings and white sneakers. Suspect Two is described as a Black female, 18-21 years old, 5’7”, 180 pounds with a heavy build, wearing a black winter cap, black puffer jacket with a white shirt underneath, ripped black jeans and black and white sneakers. The investigation is ongoing.
ROBBERY (late), 2024-10240019, 3600 block of Columbia Pike.At approximately 2:20 a.m. on October 24, police were dispatched to the report of suspicious circumstances. Upon arrival, it was determined that at approximately 12:22 a.m. the victim was approached by two male suspects who physically assaulted him and stole personal items and an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing the scene. The victim then went to a nearby business and located the two suspects inside. One suspect struck the victim before both suspects fled the scene. Suspect One is described as a Hispanic male, 20-30 years of age, with black hair, wearing a black t-shirt, black pants and a gray hat. Suspect Two is described as a Hispanic male 20-30 years of age, with black hair, wearing a black t-shirt, gray jacket, and black jeans. The investigation is ongoing.
