REPORTS

MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2024-07040069, 800 block of S. Frederick Street. At approximately 11:27 a.m. on July 4, police were dispatched to the report of trouble unknown. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect and male victim were involved in a verbal dispute inside a residential building during which the suspect allegedly produced what was believed to be a firearm and struck the victim with it. The victim was treated on scene by medics for non-life threatening injuries. The suspect remained inside the residential building and initially refused officers’ commands to exit the building. He subsequently exited and was taken into custody. During the course of the investigation, a BB gun was recovered. Ralph Duhart, 68, of Arlington, Va. was arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding. He was held without bond.

MALICIOUS WOUNDING BY MOB, 2024-07030100, 200 block of N Piedmont Street. At approximately 2:19 p.m. on July 3, police were dispatched to the report of trouble unknown. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was walking in the area when he was approached by approximately five male suspects. The suspects then assaulted the victim before fleeing the scene. The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital. The suspects are described as Hispanic males in their 20’s. The investigation is ongoing.

ROBBERY, 2024-07030005/2024-07040027, Columbia Pike at S. Four Mile Run Drive/Columbia Pike at S. Dinwiddie Street. At approximately 12:54 a.m. on July 3, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was walking in the area when he was approached by approximately four male suspects. The suspects assaulted the victim, stole electronics from him and subsequently fled the scene. The victim sustained minor injuries and refused medical attention. Responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspects are described as Hispanic males wearing all-dark clothing, three in their late teens or early 20’s and one in his 40’s or 50’s. At approximately 3:50 a.m. on July 4, the same victim was walking in the area of Columbia Pike and S. Dinwiddie Street when two of the suspects from the July 3 incident approached, assaulted him, stole electronics and fled the scene. The victim sustained minor injuries and refused medical attention. Responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. Suspect One is described as a thin-build Hispanic male with short hair wearing a ski mask. Suspect Two is described as a short Hispanic male with a beard wearing a hat, black pants and a black backpack. The investigations are ongoing.

BURGLARY, 2024-07050021, 3400 block of Washington Boulevard. At approximately 1:19 a.m. on July 5, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary alarm. Upon arrival, it was determined the two suspects forced entry into the closed business, collected merchandise and subsequently fled the scene. Responding officers established a perimeter and searched the business for the suspects yielding negative results. Suspect One is described as a white male, approximately 18-25 years old, 5’8”-6’0” wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans and black sneakers. There is no description for Suspect Two. The investigation is ongoing.
