REPORTS
ROBBERY, 2024-08040116, 2200 block of Clarendon Boulevard. At approximately 2:39 p.m. on August 4, police were dispatched to the report of a larceny just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect entered the business, collected merchandise and exited the store without payment. An employee then confronted the suspect outside the business during which the suspect made threatening statements towards the employee before fleeing the scene on foot. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 35 years old, 5’7”, wearing a black t-shirt and black pants. The investigation is ongoing.
ROBBERY, 2024-08040138, 700 block of N. Glebe Road. At approximately 5:01 p.m. on August 4, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect entered the business, collected merchandise and attempted to leave the store without payment during which he was confronted by loss prevention personnel. The suspect then shoved loss prevention personnel before discarding the merchandise and fleeing the scene on foot. No injuries were reported. Responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a bald Black male, approximately 50-55 years old, 6’3”, wearing a gray shirt and jeans. The investigation is ongoing.
ROBBERY, 2024-08040139, 2700 block of Richmond Highway. At approximately 5:15 p.m. on August 4, police were dispatched to the report of a stolen vehicle. Upon arrival, it was determined the three male suspects entered the parking lot of a business during which Suspect One and Suspect Two entered two parked, unoccupied running vehicles. An employee observed and attempted to close the gate to the parking lot when Suspect Three approached, pushed the gate back open, brandished a firearm and made threatening statements towards the employee before entering one of the vehicles. No injuries were reported. The suspects then fled the scene in the two vehicles described as a Black 2024 Volkswagen Atlas with Florida license plate 91DQHZ and a Silver 2024 Hyundai Tucson with Florida license plate 57DQBW. The suspects are described as Black males, approximately 18-25 years old wearing all black clothing. The investigation is ongoing.
BURGLARY, 2024-08030206, 3500 block of S. Clark Street. At approximately 11:25 p.m. on August 3, police were dispatched to the report of suspicious circumstances. Upon arrival, it was determined the suspect(s) forced entry into the closed business by shattering a glass door before collecting merchandise and fleeing the scene. Responding officers searched the inside of the business for the suspect(s) yielding negative results. There is no suspect description(s). The investigation is ongoing.
LARCENY FROM AUTO (Series) (Late), 2024-08020090, 1500 block of Crystal Drive. At approximately 12:03 p.m. on August 2, police were dispatched to the late report of a larceny. Upon arrival, it was determined between 8:00 a.m. and 11:49 a.m., the suspect(s) entered a parking garage and shattered the windows of three vehicles, stole electronics from two of the vehicles and rummaged through a fourth vehicle before fleeing the scene. There is no suspect description(s). The victim vehicles vary in make and model. The investigation is ongoing.
