REPORTS

BRANDISHING 2023-01250076, 2600 block of Richmond Highway. At approximately 9:04 a.m. on January 25, police were dispatched to the report of a person with a gun. Upon arrival, it was determined the female victim and male suspect, who are acquaintances, were inside the suspect’s vehicle when they became involved in a verbal dispute. The victim attempted to exit the vehicle, during which the suspect allegedly brandished a firearm and made threatening statements towards her. The victim safely exited the vehicle and called police as the suspect fled the scene in the vehicle. No injuries were reported. The suspect is described as a Black male with a short black goatee, approximately 5’7”-5’9” with a slim build, light complexion, wearing a sweatsuit. The suspect vehicle is described as a black sedan. The investigation is ongoing.

CARJACKING, 2023-01250205, 2200 block of Crystal Drive. At approximately 8:05 p.m. on January 25, police were dispatched to the report of a carjacking. Upon arrival, it determined the male victim was inside his parked vehicle when the suspect vehicle, with three unknown male suspects inside, pulled alongside him. Suspect One allegedly displayed a firearm from within the suspect vehicle as Suspect Two approached the victim and demanded his vehicle. The victim exited his vehicle and Suspect Two entered and fled the scene in the stolen vehicle with the suspect vehicle following. Responding officers canvassed the area yielding negative results. No injuries were reported. During the course of the investigation, the stolen vehicle was recovered in Prince George’s County, MD. Suspect Two is described as a Black male, approximately 6’1”-6’3”, approximately 20 years old, wearing a mask. Suspect One and Three are described as young Black males wearing masks. The investigation is ongoing.
