REPORTS
ROBBERY, 2022-12210198, 300 block of 23rd Street S. At approximately 10:06 p.m. on December 21, police were dispatched to the report of a larceny just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined the two unknown male suspects entered into the business and Suspect One requested assistance from an employee while Suspect Two began placing merchandise into a basket. When an employee confronted them, Suspect One verbally threatened him before both suspects selected additional items and fled the scene on foot with the stolen merchandise. Suspect One is described as a Black male with short salt and pepper hair, approximately 6’2”-6’3”, 220-240 lbs, 40-50 years old, wearing a baseball hat, black puffy jacket, hoodie, black pants, black/gray sneakers and a full black face mask. Suspect Two is described as a Black male with a black beard, approximately 5’10” – 6’0”, 30-40 years old, average build, wearing a black beanie, white surgical mask, black puffy jacket, gray pants, and gray and white shoes. The investigation is ongoing.
GRAND LARCENY AUTO, LARCENY FROM AUTO (Late, Series), 2022-12210062, 2100 block of Westmoreland Street. At approximately 8:55 a.m. on December 21, police were dispatched to the report of a late larceny. Upon arrival, it was determined the reporting party had returned to their vehicle and found the door ajar, the vehicle rummaged through and personal items stolen. During the course of the investigation, it was discovered eight additional vehicles had been rummaged through with no items reported stolen, one vehicle had a window damaged and one vehicle was reported stolen. The stolen vehicle is a 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan bearing VA License Plate FAVAPUT. There is no suspect description. The investigation is ongoing.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2022-12210111, 1100 block of N. Ivanhoe Street. At approximately 2:25 p.m. on December 21, police were dispatched to the report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect allegedly opened the victim’s door, stepped inside and asked for money. When the victim asked the suspect to leave, he exited the home but remained on the property. Responding officers took the suspect into custody without incident. Michael Clayton, 37, of Alexandria, Va. was arrested and charged with Unlawful Entry and Drunk in Public.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY (Late), 2022-12210128, 1600 block of Arlington Boulevard. At approximately 2:28 p.m. on December 21, police were dispatched to the late report of a breaking and entering. Upon arrival, an employee reported observing an unsecured door on a vacant property. Arriving officers conducted a search of the room, located no one inside and observed evidence of personal items left behind. There is no suspect(s) description. The investigation is ongoing.
