Status

In Design

The project is in 15% design phase. Staff are coordinating with the Metropolitan Washington Airport Authority, National Park Service, VDOT, and private property owners.

About the Project

The project is exploring the feasibility of improved pedestrian access to the south side of Reagan National Airport from both US Route 1 and Crystal Drive. Wider sidewalks, lighting and ramp improvements are all under consideration.

This project is separate from another project to provide a multimodal connection between Crystal City and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport.
