About the Project

The playground at Woodmont Park has reached the end of its useful life. This Parks Maintenance Capital project will include demolition, site work, design and construction. This project will consist of the replacement of the playground in Woodmont Park. The new playground will serve pre-school children (ages 2-5) and offer components for school-age children (ages 5-12), which the previous one did not. The project will also improve playground accessibility and update furnishings. No new amenities are planned for this project, which is funded by the Capital Improvement Plan.

Summer 2024 - Feedback on Existing Uses and Draft Concepts

From July 3 to July 28, 2024, staff gathered feedback on existing conditions and three draft concept designs for Woodmont Park's playground. A total of 71 participants provided input through an online feedback form. Please review the outcomes from the first engagement through a detailed summary of the community's responses. Fall 2024 - Feedback on Final Draft Concept

From November 20 to December 15, 2024, staff gathered feedback and final considerations from the community related to the final draft design. We received comments from 40 community members that will help staff finalize the design and move into the permitting and construction phases.
