About the Project

ANP Landscape improvement project focusing on invasive plant removal, erosion and slope control measures to protect the slope towards Grandma’s Creek.

Landscape improvements will follow the invasive plant removal efforts to improv the overall local ecotype plant community habitat within this designated natural lands woodland.

Project Goals:

  • 3-yr Invasive Plant Removal Erosion and slope control measures.
  • Improve overall plant community.
  • Encourage habitat support.
  • Minimize impact of surrounding runoff to improve overall health of park waterway.

Spring 2024 - Feedback on Existing Conditions and Use

Level of Engagement: Involve

The first scoping meeting to discuss the project was held at Barcroft House on May 2, 2024. The scope was also approved at this meeting.

County Board Funding Approval: Oct. 19, 2024.

Fall 2025 - Working Group Feedback

The working group meeting was held October 1, 2025 to provide input on the proposed improvements. Meeting notes from October 1.

Winter 2026 - Final Design Development Feedback

Staff presented the park improvements at Grandma's Creek on January 8, 2026 for civic association approval.
