ALCOVA PARK BRIDGE CLOSED STARTING JULY

Construction is underway on the Alcova Heights Park pedestrian bridge replacement project and is expected to be completed by Dec. 1, 2026. The pedestrian bridge will remain closed during construction, and portions of the playground will be closed to ensure public safety.

About the Project

This project is to renovate the existing park pedestrian bridge that is south of 18th Street S. and closest to the restrooms. The project scope also includes minimal landscaping and current ADA requirements. The location of the bridge will not change.

Project Goals:

  • Renovate existing pedestrian bridge
  • Provide ADA access internally within the park
  • Stream-edge stabilization near the bridge
  • Native landscaping and tree planting
