Safety netting was installed on the façade of the Ballston Garage in summer 2024 for crews to perform maintenance.

About the Project

The Ballston Public Parking Garage is a County-owned, 2,800-space public parking facility which serves the needs of office workers, visitors, commuters, and retail establishments.

A recent inspection showed that the brick façade on the Ballston Garage is reaching the end of its life. The County began performing maintenance work on the exterior in July 2024. Garage users and pedestrians are encouraged to be mindful of the ongoing maintenance and signage around the site.

Funding

The adopted FY 2025 - FY 2034 Capital Improvement Plan includes funding for a study to identify façade improvements and for the repair/replacement of the exterior façade.
