EV Rate Ordinance:The County's EV Charging Ordinance was amended to do the following:

  • Replaced the interim charging fee of $0.1452 per kilowatt hour with a new base fee of $0.1746 per kilowatt hour;
  • Established a new "dwell fee" -- which will only be incurred if a vehicle remains at a charging station 15 minutes after a charge has been completed. This dwell fee will be $3.00 per hour and is capped at $25.00; and, lastly,
  • Authorized the County Manager to update the base fee to keep pace with changes in electricity costs.

Changes went into effect Jan. 1, 2025. A mailbox is available to email with questions about the ordinance. Residents can read more about the chargers and view the latest Board Meeting on the EV Rate Ordinance.
