The Arlington County Police Department (ACPD) recognizes this is a transformational time in the law enforcement profession and a true period of opportunity for the department to work collaboratively with the community in determining the future of policing in Arlington. As we continue to advance best practices in alignment with 21st Century Policing, we also want to ensure the department is providing a level of service that reflects the values and expectations of the Arlington Community.

Community Conversations with Chief Andy Penn

Chief Andy Penn appreciates the important insights our residents and businesses bring to the conversation about the role of policing. He invites community members, organizations and businesses to join him at Community Conversations with the Chief throughout Arlington this summer. Similar to our popular, Coffee with a Cop series, these community conversations will have no speeches or agenda. This is an informal opportunity for the police department to hear directly from you, our community, on areas we are doing well, areas for continued growth and the vision of the agency moving forward.

This critical feedback, along with internal conversations with ACPD personnel, will assist in the formulation of our strategic plan and vision, which will be shared with the community later this year.
