Competitive Team

Competitive Gymnastics Teams are offered and administered by Arlington County Department of Parks and Recreation at the Barcroft Sports and Fitness Center. Coaches and staff of the program are employees of the Department of Parks and Recreation. The teams compete between December and May each year (the regular season). Tryouts are held in the Spring each year based on availability of space and staffing. Arlington Aerials Gymnastics (Girls)

The team includes girls pre-team and USA Gymnastics (USAG) Developmental Program Compulsory levels 3 through 5, Optional levels 6 through 10, and USAG Xcel levels Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond.

Arlington Tigers Gymnastics (Boys)

The team includes boys pre-team and USA Gymnastics (USAG) Compulsory levels 3 through 6, Optional levels 8 through 10, and Club levels, Silver, Gold, and Platinum.

Spring 2024 Tryout Information

Aerials Tryouts for the 2024-2025 competitive season will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2024!

In order for your gymnast to attend tryouts, parents must attend one of 2 Mandatory, virtual Parent Informational Meeting sessions. These meetings will provide general information on our competitive teams, level requirements, team commitment, and more. The sessions are as follows:

  • Aerials –
    • Thursday, March 21, 2024, 6:30 p.m.
    • Tuesday, April 2, 2024, 6:30 p.m.
  • Aerials Tryouts Prospective Levels –
    • Dynamites (Pre-Team): Ages 5 – 8 years

At the conclusion of the information sessions, additional tryout information will be provided for attendance.
