Opera Appreciation

For opera lovers and learners, enhance your appreciation of the magnificent art and drama of opera. Volunteer George Cecchetti will set the stage for each opera, providing the story line, composer and other interesting background. Complete operas from the NYC Met on Demand will be presented. These videos are over 2 hours long, so each will take 2 sessions to present the entire opera. June: Die Fledermaus by Johann Strauss; July: Götterdämmerung, the final opera in Wagner's Ring Cycle; August: Faust by Charles Gounod.
